Working with Jane has been life-changing and transformational. She is supportive, knowledgeable and her wisdom has contributed to drastic improvements that I could not have achieved on my own. My acid reflux has dramatically improved, my energy has increased, and I no longer view food with fear. My panic and anxiety around mealtime has disappeared and I have eaten certain foods that have terrified me for two decades, but paradoxically they are the answer to having a healthy, balanced, and happy life. I would recommend Jane's services to anyone who is seeking a nutritional makeover!

It has definitely helped my physical health and raised awareness of the ways I could make healthier lifestyle choices... Such as more water, better exercise sleep habits, avoiding hidden sugars, healthier snacks to provide more energy through the day. I didn't necessarily feel like I needed to lose weight at the time but I did lose a couple of kgs and felt much better for it.....I have been making an effort and trying to get the rest of the family on board!

I went to see Jane with high blood pressure - I am a 36 year old man who has been on medication for a few years but had never been given any diet or lifestyle advice by the doctors. Jane was very patient with me as I am a bit of a fussy eater, (and also quite a difficult customer!) and took into account my likes and dislikes but also with gentle encouragement to try something new. I went back to see her 2 months later having lost a bit of weight, eating better, feeling more energised but also sleeping better, exercising more and generally living a healthier lifestyle. I like that she explains why she is recommending certain courses of action - you can't argue with reason! I'm still on tablets but on a decreased dose - hopefully in a few months I will be off them altogether. Thank you Jane.

I cannot recommend Jane highly enough. I had been struggling with on/off bloating for some time which was causing me great discomfort and embarrassment. Jane got me to keep a food diary and helped pin point areas in my diet that could be causing me issues. Not only did she help with my bloating issues, she also was able to recommend other improvements that help support my busy lifestyle. One of the great things about Jane is that her recommendations are practical and she 100% understands the demands of a busy life style, she is very pragmatic, and explains things clearly and simply so you understand the causes and feel able to manage things for yourself

Jane provided me with an evaluation a few weeks ago. I found her to be incredibly thorough and insightful. I was having problems with my sleep patterns and also my digestion and Jane managed to fix both issues following just one detailed session. I was very sceptical ahead of the meetings but I would see Jane again as she explained that so many issues can be linked to our overall nutrition and issues do not always require medication which seems to be the quick fix these days. I would recommend her to anyone, she is great.

Jane has been brilliant in helping me structure a specific anti-cancer diet for my father who is currently suffering from myeloma. Speaking to her has really opened my eyes about the benefits that a targeted nutrition plan can have on a whole range of medical problems. I met Jane by chance informally, just before I was due to see one of the UK's top oesophagus specialists to try and solve issues I'd been having with acid reflux. The next day, not only did she email me a diet plan to help me manage it, she also recommended a probiotic I should try. At the meeting with the specialist the following week, he suggested the exact same type! If only I had met Jane sooner, I could have saved myself a hefty medical bill! She really knows her subject, is very approachable and I can't recommend her highly enough! Since following her advice my condition has improved considerably and is now totally under control. I had a very good experience dealing with Jane at The Gut Life which turned out to be an experience much more varied than I first set out for it to be.
Initially I got in touch with Jane to help me lose weight for my role as a bridesmaid at a wedding. This was the main goal however “being a bit healthier” was also on the list, thinking I knew what this meant because I was already quite healthy, or so I thought.
My biggest learning was going through my food and lifestyle diary with Jane. She took a very holistic approach to nutrition not only considering my food and liquid intake but also lifestyle, work, emotions, sleep patterns and medications and supplements. I learnt a lot about myself and lifestyle and also so much about what I was putting in my body having previously thought I was pretty clued up on food nutrition. Who knew my coffee intake was actually affecting my performance at work, that tuna is not necessarily always a healthy choice due to being top of the food chain and that my daily healthy Mediterranean style salad with parma ham and feta cheese was not a good source of protein. The horror! Despite eating a lot of vegetables and giving myself a big pat on the back they were all in fact from the same vegetable ‘family’ and I was missing out on vital vitamins and minerals.
Aside from the quality of information I also enjoyed the way Jane conducted her work. Speaking about intimate bodily functions and emotions can be tough but Jane was patient, open and non judgemental. I currently live in Sydney Australia with a busy work and social life! Jane was extremely flexible working around timings that worked for me given my lifestyle and time zone. Jane kept in regularly contact and gently pushed for a catch up after the agreed time which also happened to be when I’d fallen off the wagon at Easter! I always felt I could get in touch whenever I wanted with any questions I had.
What I also really appreciated from the Nutrition plan given to me was explanations on why and how. Instead of just saying “eat more cruciferous vegetables”, Jane would explain why these are beneficial for me and provide some examples and idea of how I can begin to incorporate these in my diet.
